Brown Eyes and Wildflowers

This past Thursday we had the pleasure of meeting Kimberly and taking her senior portraits. When we pulled up to the shoot location, I think that all four of us, Kimberly’s mom included, were excited about the potential of capturing beautiful photos in this natural setting. Green space, trees, water, wildflowers and a covered bridge, along with a great subject with deep brown eyes and long-flowing hair…how could you possibly go wrong? (Disclaimer: We really did not trespass onto the property with the “No Trespassing” sign posted!)

Sassy Cowboy Boots

Yesterday evening we met Carissa and Kayla in Downtown Huntsville for their senior photo shoots. When Carissa walked up in her sassy cowboy boots, and Kayla in her funky patterned dress, I knew these girls were going to be a blast to photograph! The weather was ideal, and the clouds were gorgeous. Thomas and I shot both of them at the same time, which made for a fast-paced, fun-filled evening. They were both willing and ready to try new things, and we walked all over downtown looking for fun places to capture the perfect senior shots for both of them. Here is a short sneak peek of Carissa and Kayla. You can tell how much fun these girls are just in these few photos!

Family, Cupcakes and Photos, Oh My!

This past weekend, Thomas and I traveled down to Enterprise to visit with my sister, “T1″ and our nieces.We celebrated Beth’s 6th birthday, and then we decided to have a photo shoot for Anna and the girls. Exciting News about T2 Photography

We are so excited about the redesign of T2photography.com. After a week of no sleep and lots of hard work, the new web site is LIVE. We’d like to give a special thanks to all of our Facebook friends and family who promoted our fan page and helped us get to 100 fans before the new site was launched. Caitlin’s Senior Photo Shoot

Last Thursday we had the pleasure of meeting Caitlin and taking her senior portraits. We took some photographs at Woodland Homes’ corporate office, and then we traveled to downtown Madison, where we really got some great shots. Even though the afternoon was scorching hot, Caitlin was more than willing to do lots of walking so we could get a variety of pictures. Her easy-going personality and fun-loving spirit along with those hazel eyes and brown curls made for a perfect shoot. We explored downtown Madison for about an hour, and these great photos were the result.

About Us…

We are Thomas and Sarah Boutwell, a husband and wife photography team based out of Huntsville, Alabama. Thomas began his photography journey as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed capturing the beauty of the landscapes and wildlife around him. In the past year, Thomas’ love for photography has shifted from wildlife to people. Thomas’ artistic eye, technical knowledge and field photography experience, give him a unique ability as a portrait photographer. With his natural ability, creative mind and experience in nature photography, he is able to provide our clients with beautiful photos with a creative flare, while still understanding the importance of stepping back and letting the moment happen. These skills give clients artistic images that are still journalistic in style, creating not only a beautiful image, but beautiful memories for families to treasure forever.

My love for photography began when I met Thomas. My creativity manifested itself in writing for much of my life. I attended Auburn University where I excelled in journalism classes and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. I worked at a magazine after college, where I expanded my journalism skills and became interested in photography and graphic design. Since Thomas and I married, we have found that our creative talents also married, and they have beautifully blended together. With my skills in graphic design and my love for journalism, it was only a matter of time before I picked up a camera and started to follow in Thomas’ footsteps. Since then, I have also grown to love photographing people, telling the story with photographs rather than a pen and paper.

These are a few photographs that Thomas recently took of me while scouting out locations for photo shoots. The photo of Thomas was taken at St. Simons Island while he was photographing our nephew as he played on the shore.
